Last Auto account – Suzukis apple-pie up act Backup for the accepted Swift, due next summer, will get stop-start
Stop-start technology will be launched on Suzuki cars from next year. Bosses accept accepted the eco-friendly addition will arise on the all-new Swift, due in summer 2010, and the facelifted Splash.
The close hopes this will cut its models’ CO2 achievement by about 10 per cent. It claims the start-up reduces the Splash’s amount from 120g/km to 109g/km.
There’s added acceptable news, as Suzuki has already taken 2,100 orders through the Scrappage Scheme – and about bisected of these were for its Alto city-limits model. Looking ahead, a backup for the Grand Vitara bunched SUV is due in 2011. Insiders say it will be added in band with the Nissan Qashqai, and bigger to drive.
