Last Auto News – Suzuki Offers “Free Gas for Summer” — Is It Real?
Last Auto News –

First, Hyundai offered to lock in the price of gas at $1.49 per gallon for a year. Now, Suzuki has attempted to top Hyundai’s offer. The Japanese automaker is offering “Free Gas for Summer” with the purchase of a new Suzuki SX4 sedan or SX4 crossover.
Sort of.
Autoblog explains, “Whether or not this incentive is really ‘free gas for summer’ depends on how much you plan to drive over the next three months or so.” SX4 buyers won’t actually get Suzuki to pay for their fuel. Instead, “what the purchaser really gets is a pre-paid credit card loaded up with $270 for the SX4 Sedan or $290 for the slightly less fuel efficient SX4 Crossover.”
Jalopnik notes, “This is based on an assumption of 1,000 miles per month.” They comment, “It’s not a great deal,” but note that the pre-paid credit card can be combined with a $2,000 rebate if you buy the SX4 with a manual transmission – and, combined with the cash back, the gas card is “not a bad [offer] either.”
