Honda will accompany the array of automakers rolling out new electric cars in the U.S., but not until 2015.
Reuters reports, “Honda Motor Co affairs to advance an electric car to admission in the U.S. bazaar by about 2015 as tighter ecology regulations advance appeal for zero-emission vehicles, the Nikkei bi-weekly said on Saturday.” The proposed electric car “is accepted to be about the admeasurement of a minicar.”
Honda seems somewhat backward to accompany the EV parade. Edmunds Inside Line notes, “Earlier this month, Nissan arise affairs to bazaar the Leaf, its new EV, in the U.S. and Japan in 2010.” GM, meanwhile, hopes to advertise its own Chevy Volt Extended-Range Electric Car by 2011.
But Motor Trend sees acumen in Honda’s slower schedule, nothing, “With added automakers alliance their electric cars will get to the bazaar able-bodied afore 2015, it’s accessible Honda can apprentice from others’ mistakes in the new automotive segment.”
