Last Auto account – Citroen Picasso five-seater We've already apprenticed the beautiful new seven-seat C4 Picasso, but we can now acknowledge how its five-seater brother will look
Our absolute spy account beneath – the best yet of the bunched MPV – shows how the entry-level adaptation will get a different rear end.
While its stablemate appearance a near-vertical tailgate to maximise allowance in the third row of seats, the abate adaptation has a beautiful angled rear windscreen instead. Different tail-light clusters and a kinked window band aswell set it afar from the beyond model. With basal overhangs at the rear, the abate C4 Picasso has a sportier profile, although it will allotment engines with the seven-seater. That includes the maker’s 143bhp 2.0-litre petrol units, as able-bodied as 110bhp and 138bhp versions of the frugal 2.0-litre HDi diesel. Abate powerplants may accompany the agency in the future.
The big C4 Picasso goes on auction in January, but families absent the handsome five-seater will accept to delay a bit longer, as it will not be in showrooms until mid-2007. Prices are accepted to alpha at about £14,500, which leaves allowance for the absolute Picasso to abide alongside the new duo as a account alternative.
